here is my story. i hacked (unlocked/jailbroke) my phone for t-mobile and it works fine. my girlfriend got an iphone in hopes of me doing the same. i downloaded pwngetool and it would never find the ipsw files on my desktop. i used ziphone and that seems to have stuck in continuous restore mode. this is so frustrating. i've tried every way of getting it out of restore mode but nothing works. any tips.......its a 2g iphone. maybe the battery will run out eventually. also why does pwngetool not work.....i browsed for the ipsw file and it said it was the incorrect one. HELP?!!?

if you are on 1.1.4 or lower firmware then use iLiberty+ it works better and will not cause problems.
to kill the continous loop - plug in the usb cable - hold down the power and home buttoms for about 10 seconds - after about 10 seconds release the power button continuing to hold the home button - the phone will gointo dfu mode restore your firmware - run iliberty plus if you are on 1.1.4 or lower. - quick pwn on 2.0 or higher These worked for me

I don't know with 10.5.7.
I'm still running 10.4. I do all my iphone stuff on there. I don't use 10.5 for anything iphone related due to the reports that DFU mode would not be recognized by 10.5 the only thing I can suggest run a 10.4 OS and try there to see if that works. I have never had a problem on 10.4. My friends that have windows I would use 10.4 to fix there phone and they would take it home and sync.

There was a time I used ziphone to reverse my iPhone firmware 1.1.4 bootloader from 3.9FB to 4.6. It somehow caused my iPhone baseband become blank. Luckily, iLiberty+ manage to re-flash the baseband to version 04.04.05_G. You may wish to refer this if you encounter the similar problem.
Cheers~~
