Default Is DFU mode re-enabled in 10.5.7?

Has anyone tried to see if DFU mode has been re-enabled in Apple's latest software update - 10.5.7?

On an MMI forum I just read a post of somebody saying that he tested recovery mode (he did not want to go to DFU) and that it worked, and that previously he couldn't even put it in recovery mode. Would be nice to know what happens to those of us who are running the DFU fix when we upgrade

Others have reported that DFU works fine on 10.5.7. I haven't done it, but I can say that upgrading with the Combo package was fine

I can confirm that - as predicted by the Dev Team - DFU mode is re-enabled in Mac-OS X 10.5.7. It was a bug in 10.5.6 - not a feature.
No more need for any DFU fix, just install 10.5.7 - I always prefer to use the combo update
Mac OS X 10.5.7 Combo Update
-way more clean.

this is really good news. i did not upgrade from 10.5.5 to 10.5.6 mostly because of the DFU issue in 10.5.6

am i correct in assuming upgrading using 10.5.7 combo is much better than using the 10.5.7 software upgrade? especially when i go from 10.5.5 to 10.5.7??

The Combo is a good clean way to do this update
