Do I have to make an Archive and Install choice? Will I lose my data (emails and music), since this option asks for only 11Gb free and I have around 50GB of music and stuff?
Thanks for the attention.
You boot from the Leopard-DVD: Insert the DVD, shut down the Mac and start it again, hold the c caps (for cd-rom). Will boot from the DVD. Open Safari and download the "Combo-Update 10.5.6" from
http://support.apple.com/downloads/M...6_Combo_Update
and install it. You wont loose any data, just get back a fresh 10.5.6

The non-responsive mouse and keyboard happened to me as well. Good thing I had Jaadu VNC setup on my iPhone. I used that to control the mouse and keyboard.

Here's how I fixed mine (1st Gen MBA):
1) Reinstalled the 10.5.6 Combo Updater
2) Reboot
3) Ran the script again
4) Rebooted automatically

You have to be patient when the script is running. It may seem like it stopped, but its actually still doing stuff in the background.

Thanks for this volks.

Yep, thats what I said. The last step before the reboot (rebuilding the cahce) may take a while (is about 10 MB on my Macs here). Just wait and relax.

Default Issues jailbreaking

I am unable to jail break my iphone. I just got it yesterday. I have enabled dfu mode, but I will get error 2001 to pop up. (when doing it after using pwnage). If I attempt to enter dfu mode without using pwnage, itunes will detect it, but when it goes to restore, I get error 1600, and then I still can't restore with the hacked firmware. I could definitely use some help.

Any ideas?

Default Wireless Mouse and Keyboard wont connect

Help! I downloaded the DFU fix for Leopard 10.5.6 and ran it. But after it moved the original files to the back up folder the app crashed so i checked to see if it added the 10.5.5 files, but it had not, so i had to add the files manually, and rebooted my mac. But after it finished rebooting my wireless keyboard and mouse were disconnected and cannot be reconnected, I tried connecting a wired mouse, but after the apple logo appears, it stops getting power. Somebody please help, I'm totally panicing beacause I got the mac last week
Thanks in advanced

I think the problem you have is because the correct permissions haven't been set on the files & the Extensions.mkext hasn't been rebuilt correctly.

But Don't panic

You can start in safe mode or boot from the DVD, that should regain use of the keyboard & mouse.

Then you can download the 10.5.6 Combo Update and put things back to normal.
