should help you it worked for others. You are probably among those users not having started the automator app from the desktop as stated in post 1. thats why you got stuck.

I have read most of the above threads and I have tried using the automator script on my 13" MacBook Unibody, 3 times and not once does it work. Every time I need to use the 10.5.6 Combo update to make my Macbook's trackpad and keyboard to work. I come across the following:

The files are different from those of Volkspost. Does this method work? Please help.

The only difference is you dont have to type the code in terminal or PuTTY. The Automator app uses the same steps but does the typing for you. If you use the Automator app just make sure to un-zip the Download and put the folder containing the app on the Desktop of your Mac.

Hey man ... HELP ME ! .. I did this automator thing ... I found it through iclarified to fix this DFU issue ... it had a warning that having quicktime 7.6 will result in total freez of the mouse and keyboard .. I didnt know if i had quicktime 7.6 installed! but now my imac seem to work well , ONLY THAT I CANT USE MY MOUSE OF KEYBOARD AND I M COMPLETELY STUCK .. I CAN EVEN CLICK ON MY ACCOUNT NAME EVEN WHEN I RUN ON SAFE MODE! ....

You probably did not run it from the desktop as advised, thats why you got stuck.
