it was posted earlier on in here that if you pwn your phone once it has been activated once before your phone will no longer get signal from your original provider.
means people that had their phone pre-activated needed to do a advanced installtion & opt not have the activation put into the new ispw. i have no idea where you should go from there... i couldn't even get my phone to accept the new software damn errors! |

I've just had exactly this problem happen to me on my iPhone 3G. After building custom IPSW in Pwnage and restoring it to my 3G iPhone, everything seems to work apart from the phone - no service. I am on a legit O2 contract in the UK.
The dev team should make this far more apparent in the software: that if you can activate your iPhone legitimately, you shouldn't select 'Activate'. What does the 'simple' mode do? Does it also activate? Or does simple mode ask you whether you're legit on 3G iPhone or not? |

Yes. It has to be "untick Activate". That has to be it.
