Now that Pwnage tool has custom boot and restore logo support.. post your .pngs here!

These work with pwnage tool 1.1, as well as pwnage tool 2.0.1 (And as such, with firmwares 1.1.4 and 2.0)

Edit: For those wondering how to make a proper PNG that PwnageTool will accept, these are the requirements:

-320x480 or lower in resolution
-Needs to be RGB or Greyscale
-Needs to have an alpha channel (This means things you want black on the phone, like your background, should be transparent in your image)... If you have a solid image with a black background that you want to use, that's fine, but there NEEDs to be at least a few transparent pixel border around the whole thing when you save it as a png.
-Needs to be saved as a 24bit PNG with transparency enabled
-Needs to be less than 100K

If you're using photoshop, your best bet to keep size down is to use the "Save for web & devices" dialog to save. Hope that helps!

NOTE! If you have a gradient that leads into your transparent background, it will not display correctly on your iphone. To solve this, put black around anything that has a dithered edge. Here's an example:

Take this:



And put black around the parts with dithering and hard edges, like this:



Then everything will look correctly on the phone! If you don't do this, you may end up with something that looks like this on the phone:

Hmm.. even though that looks perfect on my computer it seems to be a bit messed up on the iphone.. there's some extra white around the apple logo and my text isn't as crisp.. anyone have any ideas?

does the logo have a black background?

I left the BG as transparent... this is black on the iPhone. I'll try again with all black I guess

yeah see what happens itll be interesting i bet cheap people will make really nice bootlogos and sell them

Did you see the limitations for the resolution? Maybe that is the problem.
