Question [Pwnage] Causes "Accessory" Error Message?

I have two iPhone I pwned and both are coming up with "This Accessory Is Not Made For iPhone..." messages occasionally when docked in the iPhone docks.

They have NOT been connected to anything else.

Has anyone else had this issue with pwned phones? Is it because of the pwning process or custom fimwares or is it just I have two 16GB iPhones with faulty hardware?

Before anyone asks I restored one to factory state - relocking and un-uneutering and then restored to stock firmware and it still gives me the error!

Its only occasionally and I seem to be able to get it to appear by half inserting it into the dock and then pushing it in the rest of the way although even that doesn't do it everytime!

Anyone else with this problem?

DevTeam - Is it possible for pwnage to cause an error like that?

I don't think it's pwnage. I have seen that message two times with my jailbroken iPhone (had not used pwnage, the tool was not even out yet). First time: I connected the iPhone to my iPod car charger, I thought it would work but it didn't. Indeed, the phone got quickly hot, I would suggest not to try it. Second time: I inserted the iPhone in the dock of a Bose system that was made for iPod.

It's possible that if you insert the iPhone only halfway through the dock, your iPhone 'thinks' that it is getting connected to the wrong accessory.

The error message itself is not the problem as I know it is meant to come up if the phone is connected to something where the phone signal can cause interference but it shouldn't be coming up when connected to the iPhone dock the phone came with!

But your idea about half inserting it seems sensible, the only thing about that is that I tried it on my other phone and never got an error message!
