Default JaS 10.5.4 on Dell Inspiron 5150 ?

SSE2 with HT, it boots so i dont think that is the issue...

I get it installed, and it comes up and says my keyboard is missing.

I read in another post to make sure PS2 support is installed, which it is... are there any other pkgs that need installed in JaS 10.5.4 to get the keyboard to work?

plz help, it seems like i am extermely close to getting 10.5.4 to work, last release that worked was JaS 10.4.8

I have tried all sorts of Kalyway distros and also Leo4all, no luck...

any ideas?

thx in advance

I was having a lot of trouble with PS/2 in 10.5.4, and thanks to Chun Nan and others, I got a solution. So I put the right kexts into an installer package so it will make it easier for others. The package is attached below, and 10.5.4 is required to use it. Some of the files I used: ApplePS2Controller.kext patched by Tom H, AppleACPIPlatform.kext patched by karaakeha1 (this AppleACPIPlatform.kext also fixes restart issues on 10.5.4 as a bonus!), AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext by Chun-Nan (based on DFE's ACPIPS2Nub.kext). I've tested this package on my own system and it works fine, but if you have issues, please feel free to tell me. Many thanks to Chun-Nan and the others that helped me get my PS/2 working!

i didn't try it yet, but i have posted it here to see if anyone else has used this to their advantage... i am attempting to find a usb keyboard that i can plug in that macosx recognizes... then i should be able to install this above .pkg file with the patched kext's to fix the ps2 problem in JaS 10.5.4.

will let ya kno if it works..
thx
