@icchansan
so everything but the Cores work with the Factory 5.32? If so I'll have3 a bios I want you to try, it might fix the Sleep/shutdown
Just to clarify I didn't use the original bios for installing OSX. I used the modded 5.17 and iAtkos v5i. Only now I have flashed the bios back to the original HP bios.

So what does SLIC in this original bios do to my computer and my OSX installation? I didn't find much information when googling. Is there a reason not to use this bios?

How can I verify that all 4 cores are working?

If I check the system in About this MAC it shows 4 cores and 8Gb RAM in the description. Seems correct. But it still doesn't recognize Firewire.

The shut down issue is still there. How can I see if the sleep fix kext are loaded?

Thanks again for your help.

SLIC is for having Vista, it by passes the Security Checking.

@Icchansam
PM me with the 2 original bios, I deleted them already.
No, never mind, just the 5.32 bios is all I need, the 5.17 is still factory.

I have a solution to the 5.32 bios I want you to try out, I'll be gone most of the Day though.
I'm helping my Father-in-law install hardwood floor today.

To check for your sleep fix kext:

Go to:

Mac Drive>System>Library>Extensions

Try using Kext helper to load your kext (drivers). Google is your friend.

You mentioned you had sleep issues in Vista. I had the same issue but it was not

related to the BIOS. Here is what fixed it for me:

1. Click Start , type power options in the Start Search box, and then click
Power Options in the Programs list.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type
your password or click Continue.

2. Under the selected power plan, click Change plan settings.

3. Click Change advanced power settings.

4. In the Power Options dialog box, expand USB settings, and then expand
USB selective suspend setting.

5. click Enabled in the On battery list.

6. and then click OK.

7. test your sleep function

Good Luck

cheers
