The Custom PC I have Cost me right at $1000 to build.

It worked !

But after alot of trouble...

Had to add the a SMBIOS thing.

And x 86 ACPI for my keayboard to work. Not needed if you have a USB keyboard I think.

I have a 9500GS NVidia card, but it wasn't in the available choices.

Also at first, after a successful install, it rebooted with the mDNSResponder problem.

The only way to make it work was to boot in safe mode.
Reboot with options (F8 when countdown starts)
root : -v -x
To boot in safe mode

It seems the computer tries to contact Apple? Well in safe
mode it tries but if it fails, it will continue.

Still need the graphic card to work now 9500GS anyone?

Oh yeah for PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse you guys need ACPI X86, sowwy about that

Anyway in safe mode you can be able to install your video card man, check on insanely or google to get the right drivers ;D

To make it work on my HP Pavilion a6535c, I had to add more customize option than the tutorial.

To make it possible to use all 4 Cores
The modded BIOS 5.23 (BEWARE you have to know what your doing here)
else use cpus=1 in the options always or it won't boot or boot with a panic message.

I had to add this to make it work.
-SMBIOS driver
--SMBIOS' for X86
---AppleSMBIOS netkas

And
-ACPI
--x86 ACPI

For my PS/2 keyboard

Try this installation method:
(Alternate download location: Index of /drivers/macosx)
Download NVIDIA_9000_Series_Driver_v2.zip and NVDarwin 1.2.3 just run the installation from NVIDIA_9000_Series_Driver_v2.zip first. After rebooting, install NVDarwin 1.2.3 next. Reboot the system again, you should have Geforce 9000 with full resolution and QE feature.

This worked for me. No guarantees.

i already try after install iatkos 5v (with your settings) to use the automatic update under the apple menu...
computer install the upgrade but after a restart the machine seems to load MAC OS but after few minutes restart again and again and again.
for this reason i think about a dsdt patcher.. if you tell me "don't use" ok ... but how can i upgrade ???
can someone answer or explain me how to do??

i hope with your help this will be the last one because hdd now is like a piece of cheese... (i don't know how much cheese or hole)

None of the modded Bios was working for my Pavilion m9480 in regards to shut down/sleep issue so I thought what the hack give it a try with the original bios form the HP support sight and I downloaded the bios claled BEN5.32 for my computer.

Interesting is that OSX still works fine and also Windows Vista.

Can you please explain again why we need a modded bios?

The only downside that I experience is that Windows Vista asked again for the activation and now it claims that my official Vista key from HP is not valid. That is really very strange. Anyone had something like this before?
