Hi icchansan,

Is it possible that I have the shut down/sleep problem due to the patched bios? The original bios on my m9480ch was 5.30 and the patched one is 5.17.

Is there a newer version of the patched bios?

Yeh, it can be, im asking to macnut to try to get another bios mod, then we can use the latest one from HP, hope he MOD a new one for us.

Update: Macnut will MOD our BIOS, just check his reply... ima update my BIOS with the latest one 5.32, to get a BIOS MOD from there... I will post the BIOS one soon as possible.

Nope, just install the BIOS MOD, and thats it... Ok I'm on v5.32, New Logo in the BIOS... something like HP Touchscreen

Successfully updated to BIOS 5.32. I am having sleep issues again. Not sure why. This was happening before the bios update though. When manually clicking to sleep it will start to but runs hard disc fan and never does go to sleep. I have verified that the sleep fix kexts are loaded. Do I need to repair these permissions?

Try this dray, after installing the kext in the tutorial to fix the sleep issue, do this:

Go to system preferences, then energy saver, option tab, and check:

* Allow Power Button to Sleep
* Restart Automatically After a Power Failure
