Im downloading iAtkos and iPC to try them both. The ETA is around 4-5 hours. I'll report back once ive tried them both.

Do you have a built in TV tuner in your HP system? I'm trying to find a program similar to Windows Media Center for MAC so I can watch live TV.

Well theres front row, but our TV card its not supported, if you wanna change it, check HCL for Supported TV Tuner, btw can you make me a copy of recovery disc?

Hi, I'm writing from Switzerland,

I have used your tutorial to install iAtkos 5i on my brand new HP Pavilion Elite m9480ch with 8GB RAM.

First of all let me thank you very much for this tutorial everything worked like you mentioned. I have now dual boot OSX 10.5.6 with Vista Home Premium 64bit.

I needed a couple of minutes until I understood how to install the kext files but now I understand about the Kext Helper b7 app.

I have some questions and maybe you know the answers:

• Questions
• I have 7:1 speaker system attached to the computer which is a left over from my Dell XPS on which I wasn't able to install OSX.
  Under the System Preferences - Audio I can click on the 3 Line Out and the sound goes to the speaker on that particular Line Out that I click. I would like to use all 3 Line Out together to get the surround sound, how can I do that?
  
• When I shut down the computer does not completely shut down. It first looks like it is shutting down allright but then it hangs. I'm sure there is a solution to that.
  
• I guess there is no way to watch TV using the Hauppauge Win TV 1800 card that came with the HP computer?

Not sure if this driver support 5.1 or 7.1, remember these drivers are developed for ppl like you, no for the Apple, Ima check anyway

About the shutdown, did you install the kext for sleep issue? use kext helper for it, just drag the kext, type ur password and restart. Restart/Shutdown and sleep should work now.

And no... theres no drivers for TV Tuner,check the post #394 in this thread.

iAtkos v5i worked great, and my shared library errors are gone now.I don't recommended iDeneb for this machine. Shame iPC didn't work considering it was supposed to support the most hardware. Thanks Again

Yes I did install the kext for sleep issue and I tried again but in my case they don't seem to be working. After kext installtion I rebootet which worked ok.
I tried to shut down which didn't work. It shuts down to a point where the monitor gets no more signal and goes into sleep but then it gets stuck.
I also tried the sleep mode. This seemed to be working because it went into sleep almost instantly leaving the power on/off button on the Pavilion orange. But wake up did not work.

I do have another noob question. How do you use the Apple key on the Windows keyboard. I tried the Windows key but this didn't work. I'm trying to figure out how to do copy&past with the Windows keyboard.
