Is there a way to modify the info found under hardware overview in system profile so that it reads the proper name/model/etc ? Also, I just realized none of my card readers, sd/xd/compact flash/etc are functioning. Anyway to get those to read and detect media?

Weird, this 10.5.6 have lots of issues XD I use them on 10.5.5 :/ well what appear in your system profile?

Has no one tried to mod or tried the latest 5.32 bios?

Everybody here mod the bios, and no you cant update to 5.32, if you wanna use that bios, install retail with dsdt patcher

I guess im gonna have to reinstall and juts keep it at 10.5.5 to be able to get firewire back. I need to use Logic with my firewire soundcard.

Thanks for the Guide !!! I have a hp elite f9340m with a 8600 gt not a 9500. Everything works except media card reader. Mass props out to icchansan, your the man. I am grateful for the knowledge base!!! long live Hackintosh. I have a $8000.00 computer for about $460.00. Unbelievable performance.

My firewire isnt working after update printed install guide have my four cores and everything on my hp m9340f elite pc, onlything not working is the firewire and the usb card reader. worked on 10.5.5 updated by software update even tried combo update didnt work ,but runs hella faster than cpus=1 way

two questions how does your wireless work , and do you have firewire, i installed the wireless RT73 driver you did, i have the same system, but i get no device???? and firewire hasnt worked since 10.5.6 update was applied tried both software update and combo update neither allows firewire

The firewire dont work in 10.5.6, but there some solution try to google a bit, I dont have time at the momment to try leopard, about the wireless doesnt work for you? did you try in force mode?
