Yeh I stay up pretty late in the evening =P I live on the east coast of US. Everything seems to be lookin good have all my apps loaded and things are working great other than minor issues I haven't figured out yet.

1. Firewire not working ( could be a problem with me forgeting to plug something in when I took out the powersupply to work on my other computer, will take a look )

2. Other issue is a random kernel panic... happend a couple times now, and I localized it to only happen when firefox is the only program running..wierd! running the latest copy of firefox and it freezes on me when browsing. Have no problems when usen the latest opera or safari. Also great thing is that I haven't gotten any freezes at all running up to 2.0mb/sec download from torrents through transmission over night, so no more usin windows for torrents. =)

3. Biggest thing, I'm using a microphone plugged into the front slot of the computer and not working...not sure if it's my microphone or if it's something to do with a setting/kext in macosx...the mic works fine in windows, any ideas I could look into?

Well I tried with the mic in the back, try this cuz im windows now (I know, traitor ~,~) go to system preferences, sound, then go to input and try to choose another input, I remember 3.

About the firefox yeh thats true, I barely used cuz the Kernel Panic, Happens to me long time ago, so I stop using it. I didnt know about Opera, I will try soon as possible

Apps in my OSX Black List: Fuze, Firefox, Google Desktop, and sometimes Quicksilver.

Kernel Panic for sure and is random, sometimes you can play with it for long times or just for 10 minutes maybe less.

About torrents I'm using utorrent now, nice nice.

P.S. You guys can try Voodoo, just to test the performance

OMG...lol, yeh last time I looked in the back of my box I didn't see all the sound/mic inputs in the back..oops..my mic works perfectly now =) I don't have to use windows for skype =P

total bummer about firefox not working seems to be the very last thing about my hackintosh that makes my box a perfect mac pro =P

Can run, logic studio 8, final cut studio 2, photoshop cs4 flawlessly and my hackintosh benchmarks right up their with the new 8core macpro =P

For all those people that think hackintosh doesn't compare to a real mac? my $1100 dollar pc rocks their $8,000 mac pro =P

I couldn't agree with you more. I have the best of both worlds, Vista Ultimate and Mac OS X 10.5.6 for $950.00. For all you Windows hating non-believer of PC's. Now it's time to Quad boot with Ubuntu and Windows 7 Beta. LOL...

BTW, can someone provide an easy guide or link on how to perform a Time Machine backup with my current Hackintosh setup.I'd hate to go through all this again. Thanks in advance!

Did you even try? I dont think is very hard, just need another HDD, and thats it.

hey icchansan,

This worked great, but photobooth doesnt work, it says it doesnt work with this video card, and if I try to use my webcam in iChat it says its being used by another app.

Also I installed the wireless driver and when I go into network settings it wont let me turn Airport on.

oh, and I tried to install Logic and it says I need a Quartz something video card, and that I have 0MB of VRAM and need 64MB. Any way to fool it into this?

Man the problem is that you dont have QE/CI support, whats your Video Card? no links... just post it...

About the wireless, if your using Ralink RT73, it wont work as airport...

My video card is the Nvidia GeForce 8600

and yes I installed the Ralink RT73.. but where to I set it up then?

I have the HP Pavilion Elite m9260f slightly different than yours but as far as I could see the specs are the same, I think the difference is that mine has a blu ray disc player.

Ive been to the link where you say to download the post installation driver for the video card but I cant seem to figure out which one I should download theres de 9f23 download and then theres a bunch of version of another download. Any idea which one I should be downloading? Las time I installed the 9f23 it wouldnt let my system boot.
