Did you mod your BIOS? Did you try with another distro?

Hey icchansan, I tried to do a fresh install with iaktos and I used the recommended install customizations, but when it boots up it hangs at the gray apple logo screen. I have no idea what I am doing wrong :\

I am able to get Leo4All to work by following your walkthrough. Is there any chance you could maybe give me a suggestion as to what I can do to get it upgraded? Is iaktos the only distro that will support an upgrade to snow leopard?

Well the thing is to install you need to install some stuff that I dont have here:
I recommend you to read the guide for iatkos, to upgrade to 10.5.5 you can read the post #42, page 7.

Retail or iatkos for 10.5.6 ;D

P.S. I know that I always say this but I will update the guide soon as I can. Maybe with iatkos. But I really wanna do it with Retail

WTF !! I downloaded microsoft software for a microsoft usb mouse and it needed to reboot and now it wont boot mac os x!When I boot using -v it hangs at "Saved crashreport to /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/kextd_2009-01-07_Macintosh.crash using uid:0 gid:0 euid:0 egid:0" I am pissed off !! Any idea on how to undo this?!?!? I have tried booting using -x-v-f and cpus=1 -v, -v and nothing works.

Ah I forgot to mod my BIOS. I did that now and it works!

Now I'm having trouble getting the right drivers. I tried installing the ones you listed in the first post but they did not work. I'm running 10.5.4 and the graphics driver is for 10.5.5, is there one available for 10.5.4?

The Wireless didn't work either. It didn't detect my card after I installed it. Any suggestions for that?

Lastly, I don't understand how to install the Audio. It is in a kext format and I'm unsure how you go about installing those.

Please post your Whats your video card, Your Wireless chipset.

About your audio have to be the same of mine, to install you need to download kext helper, then drag the files on post installation, extract the files and drag them into kext helper, type your password and restart, thats it

Dray, are you sure they work in your Leo? and why did you download these kext? didnt work before? specials keys or something? cant believe a mouse will force you to reinstall :/

My video card is the NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT.

Yes theres support for your video for any leopard version, just download yours.

About your LAN, I think theres no support or cant find any info about it, try to use everest in Windows to get the chipset, check wireless too.

Are you sure you have RT73 chipset for wireless?

try this to test: when darwin appear type:
Then check if you get wireless working

I agree but it is the only thing I did to it. The software installed fine and asked to restart to complete. It was working fine just that the software adds a few extra features to it.I am really annoyed at myself but I didnt think it would harm it. So is the only resolution for this is to re-install? BTW, I am running iAtkos v5.0i 10.5.5 not Leo.

I want my Mac back!
