Help please. I have a Hp m9000t with the Asus IPIBL-LA board. I downloaded the correct driver for my board mentioned but now I have a new screen that pops up after the normal bios screen. The new screen stats something to the effect of, "default settings applied to bios due to either updated bios or a conflict (will have to restart to remember exactly what that part says) (EDIT: says "checksum issue"). Now if I try to make any changes to my bios it always goes back to default settings because of this screen (yes I am saving the new settings). It won't apply the new settings. Anyone know why mine is doing this?

Also, I did download the newest driver for the board and now there is no "default screen" and I can change the settings (HD from SATA to AHCI) and have them saved/applied. But it won't boot from the DVD (JaS OSx86 10.5.4 Client Server Intel SSE2 SSE3). The prompt will show and it sounds like its reading the disc but nothing ever happens and it starts to load Vista. Hitting esc during the prompt does nothing.

Any help is much appreciated.

^I figured out what the last part of the "default screen" said, it said checksum issue. Does that mean anything?

As for the bios version:
the newest is 5.13 (at least according to hp's website)

The one you recommend to download is 5.08 I think.

I have installed 5.08 twice now and I get no errors when installing. When the computer restarts though I get a screen that says it can't find a "boot loader" and I have to do a hard restart. Everything works fine after that except for the "default screen" thing. Is there any other way to install the driver? I don't know what the cpu-1 thing means...

I'll start from scratch and redownload the bios you suggest. See if that works.

Thanks, that took care of the "default screen" thing. I wasn't checking the boxes "Program All Blocks" and "Destroy CMOS Checksum" in AFUWIN. Thanks, I will try to boot from the DVD now.

Ok, still won't boot from dvd. Changed HD from SATA to AHCI, saved/closed, told it to boot from dvd, prompt comes up and nothing happens. After about 1 min it starts loading Vista. Should I try a different file? I have tried the Kalway one and the JaS OSx86 one.

P.S. All I am doing with the downloaded file is buring it to the dvd, nothing more. Is there anything else I should do to it before I burn it?

P.S.S. Sorry for all the questions.
