To boot into Vista Disable AHCI and set it as RAID in the BIOS, thats it

Yeh Maybe they installed Vista in IDE mode or something.

I personally think its because of the partition you have setup. Are you trying to install on the same hardrive? Have you partitions it properly?

How come it runs the installation if you already eject the disc? maybe your talking about the registration?
