Default AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext

Hey,

Is there a file that is supposed to be in the system folder that matches this:

while sleep 1; do rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext; done

Because when checking the system i cannot find the file APPLEINTELCPUPOWERMANAGEMENT.kext

even when i have show all files active:

sudo defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE

hey - thinking about doing this on my m9450f. Question about modding the BIOS - when I do that, is it a completely new BIOS that will allow overclocking? or is it just a tweak?

The Bios looks like the same, I never tried Overclocking this machine, I never will, This is just to get all cores working on Leopard, if you dont wanna MOD your BIOS, use cpus=1 in darwin

ok. I was just hoping that this was an easier way to flash a BIOS that would allow OCing in windows.

Default Lost Audio - Help

I have installed JaS 10.5.4 on my HP Pavilion Elite M9300t. Works fine with installed ALC888 audio driver. But I tried to install the HDA driver to enable front output - Installed (with Kext Helper b7) the kexts provided in this thread. I have now lost audio.

The "About this Mac" info detects "Intel High Definition Audio", but nothing listed under "Available Devices".

Everest shows M9300t has ALC888/S/T @ Intel82801B ICH8.

I also tried to revert back to the original ALC888 driver that came with Jas install - by removing the installed HDA kexts, still no audio.

Please help! Thanks in advance.

I had the extact same issue.

Delete the ApppleHDA and HDAenabler kexts from extensions folder.
Delete the ALCInject kext aswell
Reboot
Re-install the HDA ALC888 kext using kext helper.
Reboot
and then edit the volume in system preferences and it should hopefuly work.

Default reboot problem on trying to install Leo4allv3 /HP Elite m9340f

Hi ICCHANSAN,

I have the same motherboard as you (Asus IPIBL-LB) on an HP Elite m9340f... trying to install Leo4allV3 10.5.5... I have a good copy of the iso & the MD5 matches... I also verified the DVD after writing, so I believe I have a good DVD image... I set the motherboard to AHCPI & XD on per your tutorial... I'm using the original HP bios & was going to use the CPU=1 fix... The problem I am having is that I am not able to get the install DVD to load... It starts Darwin, loads a bit & then re-boots... I am only using 1 disk with 1 partition... Do you have any suggestions? I also tried iDeneb 10.5.5 and am able to get it to load the DVD & install, but it hangs when booting from disk... I have not been able to download a valid JaS 10.5.4 image or would have tried that as well... Thanks for your help. - Jim
