Default [Hackint0sh Support] Hp DV6000 gets stuck at"still waiting for root device"

I want to try running OSX for a while before I take the plunge and purchase a Macbook. I downloaded Leo4all v3 and burned it onto a dvd, but when I boot up the disk it loads for a while then says "still waiting for root device" and repeats that every minute or so. How would I go about fixing this? I work in IT and I am very good with PCs, but Mac is totally new to me, I am quite a noob. Any help would be appreciated.

The Specs are:

HP Pavilion DV6607nr
1.7 ghz AMD Turion 64 Mobile TK-53
1.5gb ram
160gb hdd
nVidia nForce 560 Board (I have heard this can be a problem, is there a fix?)
Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN
Ricoh SD/MMC Host Controller
NVIDIA GeForce 7150M Video Adapter
Synaptics PS/2 Port Touchpad
Conexant High Definition Audio & Modem

This is a incompatibility with your HDD or DVD device.

Test installation using a External USB DVD Drive. Maybe works.

Goodluck,

I tried running the disk with a usb HDD plugged in so it must be the DVD drive. I'll have to try and find an external DVD drive and test it. If I did get it to install would my DVD drive on my laptop just never work with osx or is there a driver or something?

You can try find a OSX DVD Version with other IOATAFamily.kext or AppleAHCI.kext to try solve Internal DVD problem, in mine lappy, Internal doesn't work and don't have sollution for this.

I had same issue. The solution is: Go to BIOS settings and change size of shared video memory to 32MB.
Let me know, if you need more details..
I just installed OSX...
