Default [Kalyway] Successfully installed, but few things not working?

Now that I have the basic Kalyway 10.5.2 installed, I would like some of the other things working:

1) My Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter in not working, How can get that working so that I can connect to the Internet?

2) Audio is not working, I have Builtin Audio card in the Dell 9200 with "Stigmatel HD Audio codec/driver".

3) My graphic card is the NVidia GeForce 7900GS is capable of higher resolution (1680x1050) than what osx86 is allowing which is 1024x768, anyway to get higher resolution?

I think if I can these three things working, well 1 & 2 are really the priority, but it would be great to have 3 working.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

The solution is in editing kernel extensions plist to change their vendor/device ID to fit yours.

You can search the forum about these 3 devices.

Well i think you'l' have more chances for 2 and 3.

1 should have a broadcom or intel wifi chip if you really want it to work.

Thanks for the reply. The reason I posted in the hardware/drivers forum was because I was really unable understand your solution let alone trying to attempt it. It seems way over my head and I thought posting in the Hardware forum would be the best place to ask for a more detailed help for I need to do. Yes I did search and have found a couple of bits of information regarding the graphic card and the audio with which I'm also trying to figure out what exactly people are saying because it is all very highly technical.

I apologise if I broke any rules, all I was trying to do was to get more detailed help from some who is aware of the solutions with my hardware in mind.

Don't want to sound rude but if you don't have any clue about what i'm talking about when telling you to modify kernel extension plist (vendor/device IDs) you better stop and ask someone skilled in OS X modding.

You'll have to learn how to setup permissions (chmod and chown) if you modify such files (kext)

Ok, going by topics:

1) Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter, don't tell me nothing...have detailed model?

2) Dell 9200 with "Stigmatel HD Audio codec/driver": ??? you have detailed model of you audiochipset Sigmatel?

3) What you monitor? If is 15" only have 1024x768, btw, check for About this Mac / More Info / Graphics - If you had QE/CI, if not have try change your Natit/Titan/NVInject.kext for enable it.

=)

Thanks for pointers, I really appreciate all the help. I was resolve 2) and 3).

for 2) I found -> THIS SITE that has a whole bunch of Audio drivers/patchers listed by by Computer brand and the Dell XPS was the compatible for my Dell 9200 which in affect is a XPS 410.

For 3) I found NVidia Driver installer at -> THIS SITE which detected my nVidia 7900GS walked me thru a wizard to load the driver.

Now both the Sound and Graphics card are working great.

Now to either get the "Linksys Wireless-G PCI adapter" or the built-in "Integrated Intel 82566DC Gigabit Network Connection" working. I connected to the built-in NIC and using Terminal utility I'm able to ping to my router but when I go to the network settings it does not let me turn on/activate the NIC. I tried to choose the DHCP setting and save but it never gets saved.

Maybe you need replace IONetworkingFamily.kext to solve this...
