Thnx for the up. I'm looking around on Insanely Mac forum, and so many posts now to wade through - Does anyone have a quick link to the easiest way to update the SMBIOS.kext? My brain is blanking (...stuck in the Winblows world too long ).

edit: I may have found the information on the paulicat.freeflux.net blog - is this correct (steps 9, 11, 12) if I only want to replace the AppleSMBIOS.kext ?

Ok, probaby a dumb question here ...

I have a SSE2 Intel machine. Will this work for me also? As far as upgrading direct from Apple, if I backup & replace the updated Apple kernel and follow the other upgrade options, will I have a functioning machine?

no it doesnt work for sse2
