Greetings.

I'm a newcomer to the Hackintosh scene. My initial install went very well, but I can't seem to get drivers to work. Consequently, I don't have support for any but one screen resolution (1024x768), I don't have audio, no FireWire and no networking support.

Here's my system:

Kalyway 10.5.1 SSE DVD
Homebrew Intel Core2Duo E4300 overclocked to 3GHZ (very stable, running Windows this way 24/7 for over 9 months)
2 GB Corsair PC6400 RAM
Asus P5B Plus motherboard
Asus EN8600GT Silent video card
LG combo HD DVD/Blu-ray drive (SATA drive but it works fine mounted in an external USB enclosure - I did the install from there)
320 GB SATA drive for Mac OSX
250 GB drive for Windows (IDE)

The install goes well if I choose vanilla kernels, SSE, GUI. If I select NVinject Desktop, the system won't boot. I've tried a few different nVidia driver packages, most of which make the system unbootable. I found what looks like the right Realtek network driver, but after reboot the system still can't find network hardware.

I've tried nVidia Installer v1.9 by Punk92 (2.0 link wouldn't work), for video - system became unbootable. I tried the nVidia Universal Installer - seemed to work just fine, but caused absolutely no change in my display capabilities. Did I skip a step?

I tried the Realtek R1000 1.04 network driver, using Kext Helper - installed just fine but after reboot the system still saw no networking hardware. The Azalia audio drivers in Kaly don't work.

I've installed and run several Mac programs without incident (except for the occasional complaint about missing drivers). The system is extremely responsive, but anything that requires QE won't run. It feels like I'm really close to having a really fast Mac system here, but I need video, audio, FireWire and networking or it's useless.

Basic question, then - is there anyone out there who can help me find the right drivers to make this system functional, and or tell me what I might be doing wrong after the driver installs that makes the system seem to ignore them?
