i have iphone 2G 1.1.4 unlocked. i need to use itunes on the other laptop, so i need to find either itunes 1.1.4 software, install it and use as it is or use upgraded version 2.2.1 and unlock it. which way should i go?
where can i find 1.1.4 itunes?

You have things mixed up here.

- iphone firmware 1.1.4
- Latest iphone firmware 2.2.1
- iTunes latest version 8.1
All the above are from Apple

- you use itunes 8.1 to update your phone to firmware 2.2.1

- you use Quickpwn 2.2.5-2 to jailbreak/activate & unlock the phone with firmware 2.2.1

thanks mate for explanation! just wondering, can i install old version of itunes for 1.1.4(have not been updated since may 2008)? if so, any links to download it, perhaps better to use in old itunes, and use 1.1.4??

latest itunes is 8.1 and it is safe. Best to use the latest because you need it to run with latest firmware.
FYI, there is no such thing as itunes for 1.1.4.
It is best to refer to itunes using its version number such as 7.1, 8.0, 8.1 .....

I have my phone on 2.2 and have not upgraded to 2.2.1

Can I install iTunes 8.1 with this in mind or will I ruin everything.
