Angry itunes wont detect iphone

hi, im a bit new at this but i want to unlock my iphone. It was previously unlocked but it is now in a state where you can only make emergency calls and it has the little white cable with the itunes logo. i connected the iphone to my computer but itunes does not detect it. i already enabled and started the services under the administrative tools and also reinstalled itunes at least twice. IT charges the iphone but thats about it. I need help!!

Care to tell us how you fixed it?

My Iphone isn't recognised in Itunes, (running brand new, jailbroken Iphone 16G with 2.2.1 fw)

It recognised it once and since then nothing...

Have uninstalled Itunes and reinstalled.

Running Itunes 64-bit on Windows 7.

Help!

psykix, have you tried putting it into DFU mode, and then restoring either a standard or custom firmware image?

Ok, I'm even newer than you and am having the same problem. My iPhone, given to me from someone else who had it up and running, is doing the exact thing as you (phone bought in US and trying to use it in Canada). What version if iTunes are you using? I think my problem was that I updated iTunes to the most current and when I tried to sync it, it went into the emergency call mode state which I cannot get out of, at all. It was working fine right up until I tried to sync it with iTunes. BTW I don't know what DFU mode is.

I would really appreciate any help.

In a similar situation. Have a jailbroken 2g through blackra1n, but can't get it unlocked. Wifi works, iTunes won't recognize and when I try to restore it I get a 1611 error in iTunes...
