Restore to 1.1.2. Restore to 1.1.1. Jailbreak. Oktoprep.Option+update to 1.1.2. Jailbreak with jailbreak.jar. Install BSD Subsytem, Community Sources. Add a valid source for anySIM. Install anySIM. Turn on Airplane mode. Put your sim in. Run anySIM. Reboot. VOILA! A unlocked phone...
yes it was a 1.1.2 OOTB otherwise i wouldnt had to hardware unlock it ^^

even tho i had anysim installed already as i wrote above (but i didnt have plane mode on i think that was a mistake as well)
i just restored to 1.1.2 then back to 1.1.1 then i did the +#301# thing and did the prefs but when i clicked on "install appsnapp" nothing happens i just get kicked to the emergency slider and that's it.....
ill try tomorrow but this clearly sucks...
if it doesn work should i try to restore to 1.0.2 and then to 1.1.1 or somthing like that?

il try it when im in school and connected to my computer my wlan doesnt work with my iphone for some reason but everywhere else works fine...its pretty weird but ive been patient the last five days ill make it thru another

No, restore to 1.1.1 again. Then do the jailbreak. I´ve had the same issues with the kickback to the emergency slider, put persitence put it off in the end. I just slided, enteret, called, slided, entered, called and it worked in the end. Keep on going! =)

Hi,

I have also had the problem with AppSnapp not working, but I have read somewhere that you have to have Itunes running when jailbreaking, I did and it worked for me. I did jailbreak twice and with Itunes running it worked always instantly. Also I made the mistake to update to 1.1.2 with shift-restore and not shift-update, so I had to go back to 1.1.1. and do oktoprep again. Besides that HW unlock works great.

Yes, you can also do that trick. I just didnt know at the time =)

Ive heard the best is to let iTunes recognise it, eject it, quit itunes and carry on with appsnapp..with the cable in the phone..

You are not screwed as long as you didn't use iTunes for the upgrade. The dev team JB will not upgrade the baseband. So yes, you can still use this method as long as you still have the 112 baseband (which will be the case if you only did the JB). To be on the safe side, before doing the bootloader downgrade go back to 112.

^^^ i think you just have to be more careful, i have no experience in anything that has to do with programing or cell phones and i succesfully testpoint unlocked my otb1.1.2, it did take 5+ hours but i did it and all that happened was i got one small scratch on the side of my phone.

it worked great for me, thank you for all the people that helped making this unlock possible for the rest of us, God Bless You
