6. Your ITUNES is still open on your PC or MAC now press the options button (mac) or the shift button (windows) and click at the same time on update. You will again get the file browser once again. Select the file you just downloaded (1.1.2 Restore.ipsw)!

7. When the Update is finished you will get a picture of a plug that will appear on your iPhone and you will have the page SLIDE TO UNLCOK but written in French

8. Close ITUNES on your PC or MAC

9. download and unzip 1.1.2 Jailbreak from here http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/1.1.2-jailbreak.zip

10. In the Folder you will find the file jailbreak.jar Open it and press on JAILBREAK!

(IF JAILBREAK.JAR DOESNT OPEN UPDATE YOUR JAVA HERE

11. This will take some time and at the end you will get a message that says "Your Phone will reboot a couple of times ...... "

Let your phone REBOOT a couple of time... And you will get back to the SLIDE to UNLOCK page

YOU ARE DONE !!!!
YOU HAVE AN ACTIVATED AND JAILBROKEN 1.1.2 IPHONE
NOW ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GET A TURBOSIM AND START USING YOUR PHONE

obviously I took this from raffi, just edited the part that changed....

And this worked now for me on 3 brand new iphones, which were bought a week ago... so please be sure to follow the steps exactly! It will work, just be patient while doing it!

just a few questions and concerns since i'm a newbie to this iphone thing:

i live in canada and my provider is Rogers. i don't have a at&t sim so how can i activate my iphone?

once activated, i can use all the functions except for the phone right? no need to jailbreak?

my iphone is version 1.1.2, can i do all the above without downgrade it?

Hi,

I was able to unlock/jaibreak/activate OTB iphone Week 51 using this guide (Post #1 and Post #313).

All features work except Sms. I am unable to send or receive SMS messages. When I send an SMS it show ok on my iphone but the other person does not receive it or when someone else sends a SMS, I don't receive it.

Has anyone faced this problem before? What could be a possible fix?

I was able to reslove the issue. It was issue with my service provider.

After unlocking the phone I called AT &T and disabled data on my line (I was scared of high bill). They had also blocked SMS.

i have done everything correct in this tutorial however whenever i run AnySim 1.2 it crashes. I have BSD Sub installed SSH however it still crashes and then my phone is unreturnable from reboot mode.

What am i doing wrong?

p.s. imei iccid and modem firmware are not listed in about

hi, i did this step

1- Turn on your iphone, you will get "Slide for Emergency Call"
2- Slide and you will get the phone keypad
3- type *3001#12345#* and press CALL
3- Press on VERSIONS

and realize my version is NOT 04.02.12_G. The version that my phone has is 04.02.13_G. my phone is week 48.

does the version affect anything when i follow this guide to Downgrade/Activate/Jailbreak my phone?

It will work just fine! this is a bit outdated in the tutorial.

hi all,

i did the whole procedure, and it works until the last step:

when i open jailbreak.jar and press jailbreak! it starts, and then i get also the message that says that my iphone will reboot a couple of times... DO I HAVE TO PUSH THE "OK" BUTTON??? (i'm using a mac..)

and the big problem follows right then: itunes starts and tells me that there is an iphone in recovery mode..!!!! (and on the iphone there comes the plug again..)

Please, can anybody help? - i did the whole procedure already 3 times!!!
