Downgrade guide:
http://iphone.fiveforty.net/wiki/ind...1.1.1_to_1.0.2 Thanks for Kmac1985 for discovering this. P.S.: This does NOT downgrade your baseband. Fixes for bb will follow asap.* *This means you cannot fix 0049 issue atm, reunlock or do similar things involving the baseband yet. Last edited by sam; 09-30-2007 at 04:40 AM. |

I'm not clear on what this does. I followed the instructions; downgraded to 1.0.2, but I am still stuck with the same "Incorrect SIM" message as before.
The onscreen 'i' now displays the correct corresponding IMEI number found on back of the device though. Whether that's a positive or negative sign I haven't a clue. |

Hmm. Scratch that. After rebooting I get the same generic 0049 IMEI number. What the hell?

Alright, so how do I go about updating baseband...or hasn't that been achieved yet?

He mentions in the end that bbupdater will not revert the baseband (though he says firmware). Last edited by compuguy1088; 09-30-2007 at 04:04 AM. |

I say someone update the first post with a FAQ.
Something along the lines of what this means, does, what it doesn't do etc etc... According to the wiki, it allows the iPhone to use wifi, whether that means also the iPod function is available is unclear, but the GSM functions such as SMS/Voicemail/Calling are unavailable unless you have an AT&T simcard. |

This pretty much sums it up I think.

Please move this to general, as this have nothing to do with SIM or software unlocking.
