What I'm not getting with this, is does this revert at least the iPhone firmware to 1.0.2 (but not the baseband), or does this just unbrick it?

my friend accidently upgrade to 1.1.1.. now im trying to do above method

whoa.. it works.... i'm now trying to restore it with 1.0.2 firmware.. lets see how it goes.

Can someone that has a iphone with a stock 1.1.1 firmware confirm this method.

Nope, using a PC. wInstaller to jailbreak (without SIM) and ibrickr to upload lockdownd. Rebooted, works! Firware says 04....

Now used iBrickr to load unlock-fast.pxl. At the (allow 20 min...) stage.

Thanks for your help, i think a few people owe you an apology (although in their defense there is loads of people talking crap on forums these days) however as people are saying now you seem to be right.

Do i need a pc to do this or can i do it off my mac book pro? Where do i get the right versions of all the software?!
