apple phone support told me to put my phone in restore mode, try this? first you plug in usb, then you hold the top button and the front button for 10 seconds, then let go of the top button and keep holding the front one until itunes recognizes the phone. it worked for me when my 1.0.2 was locked up? you don't see anything on the screen until the restore starts.

I let the Yellow triangle stay!!! then i opened up INdependence. ran it and activated the phone. not any sim just so i can use the apps.

But i just checked the frimware via the emergency call dial pad and it says i have 1.1.1
So the phone part of the iPhone doesn't function?

Ok, I'm finally trying this...

Maybe he's onto something

Before when I tried to downgrade with just the SHIFT+Restore. It gives me an error before anything even begins.

Now, the restore actually occurs. I will report back in a few minutes to let you know if I'm able to use and activate the phone.

Ok Hold the Sleep/wake button for 10sec... then let go of the sleep wake button. The old yellow triangle will appear.

Let itunes open automatically it will tell you that the phone needs to be restored!!!

If using a mac press Alt. and select the 1.0.2 firmware! IT WILL LOAD! However there will be an error at the end of it. ( thats ok) shut down restart! go to iNdependence!

Acitvate phone! select the old 1.0.2 firmware! it will work. it may error a couple times. try again and again and it will work! I just reactivated my iphone to 1.0.2 when i had 1.1.1 i am not bullshitting.
If you got the yellow triangle you DIDNT HAVE 1.1.1. Apple says
first you plug in usb, then you hold the top button and the front button for 10 seconds, then let go of the top button and keep holding the front one until itunes recognizes the phone. it worked for me when my 1.0.2 was locked up? you don't see anything on the screen until the restore starts.

And its corect. The screen is black. I tried this today, with an 1.1.1 iphone (i am 100% sure for this)

Well maybe only the once that have an older firmware will be able to do this but the once that have the 1.1.1 firmware out of the box might not work.
