Apple may have f*kd up big time....here is the last bit of an article on the BBC,
"Some owners are reporting on technology blogs and Apple's own forums that the update is deleting contacts information, as well as photos and music, on iPhones that have not been modified in any way." http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7017660.stm

Anyone know what happens if you restore a unlocked phone to virgin state (i.e. using something like the instructions at: http://www.iphonegoboom.com/#restore) and then upgrade to 1.1.1 (understanding that no jailbreak or unlock will be possible at this time)? will the phone work?

I know this is a stupid, but is it possible using the restore option using iTunes with pressing shift, then select 1.0.2FW file and restore a 1.1.1FW iphone to 1.0.2?
![]() Any 1 tried this? but i think if it worked even, we dont know if 1.1.1FW already changed anything in the baseband, so it may brick if its restored to 1.0.2.. |
