I have recently restored my iPhone after a damaged caused by ZiPhone. It was a nightmare... I have replaced the com board, restored and finally everything works except YouTube.
As most people would advise, is to reload everything using whatever program but to tell you the truth I'm afraid of any future damage.
I have searched everywhere and the only fix I could find but too broadly explained was: at: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=30190
I tried to use the winscp but have no idea how to connect to the iPhone and what to do...
Does anybody know how or to provide an easier explanation how to activate YouTube without reloading, jailbraking, activating, etc. ?

1. add i.unlock.no to your installer sources

2. let it refresh

3. install the youtube fix

It may sound stupid but I have no idea how to do that. When I unlocked my iPhone I installed Cyndia instead of installer.
I don't know how to add i.unlock.no to the installer sources. Perhaps the Cyndia is different... I wish to install the installer too but don't know how.

I went through the iPhone at the link you mentioned but it gives me the option to unlock it only. It is written there that if you want to install the YouTube activation go to Unlocking Tools category but there is no such link! Could you please be more specific how to add YouTube activation?

I don't use Cydia but here is the manual way.

1. Grab the files from here - http://rapid$hare.com/files/96711141/youtube.zip.html
2. Make a backup of the /var/root/library/lockdown directory to your computer
2. Copy the following files to the /var/root/library/lockdown directory of your phone

• data_art.plist
• device_private_key.pem
• device_public_key.pem

3. Restart the phone

It sounds very easy for who knows how to talk to the iPhone via a terminal. I tried t connect to the iPhone with the winscp but have no idea how to do it.
What do I type where is "host, port number, user name, etc.
Where I can find what commands are available for this.

Understood. I'm not on windows so I can't be of much help as far as wincp. Your *safest* choice may be trying to get installer working alongside Cydia and using the i.unlock.no source.

Did you use iLiberty to get the Cydia package. I would use iLiberty+ to jailbreak again with the Setup Installer selected in the Standard Tab and youtube fix selected in the advanced tab.

I took a chance and restored the iPhone and then used iLiberty and done it again and now the YouTube is working. I have choose the installer and Cyndia and I see only Cyndia as an icon, no installer. Where the heck is it?
I have both MAC and PC.

i just did the same thing at the same time as you. lol. what do you mean took the chance? what risk was there?

I went through a big ordeal with this iPhone. It was ZiPhone, there are lots of people out there and there is no fix yet only to buy the com board ($180). I did, replaced it and I was not sure what to do after a crap like ZiPhone screwed my phone.

Anyway, do you know what can I do to have the installer and Cyndia too?
