I've noticed that some folks in here are having a lot of trouble getting youtube to work, even though deleonju provided youtube certificate files that work great with Darkmen's Patching Activation method with no hassles. So, I decided to step in and give some help. What I did was to wrap up youtube's files and patching activation in a single "point and click" script, so you don't have to think too much to make things work. I haven't included the jailbreak part because the files are just too big and that would probably constitute copyright infringement.

ATTENTION: THIS METHOD ALONE WILL NOT UNLOCK YOUR iPhone!!!

HOW TO ACTIVATE YOUR iPhone FOR ANY SIM CARD AND ENABLE YOUTUBE

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Jailbreak your iPhone (Easy instructions in: http://ibrickr.com/ - Detailed intructions in: www.hacktheiphone.com)
2) Download and unpack this file:

http://**********.com/files/55289251...suco_.rar.html (UPDATED in September 12th 2007: no need to restore your phone anymore!)

3) Run the "activation.bat" batch script that is included.


UNISTALL:
Doubleclick "reverse.bat" (This will reverse what PACAY has done. It will restore your original files and leave in iPhone totally deactivated)


REMEMBER to kill iTunes before doing anything. Any doubts, check README.txt


You'll be given instructions along the way, but mostly you'll just have to watch. At the end, you'll hopefully have an activated iPhone with YoutTube working. The good part is that this method is SIM card independent. So you can put any ATT SIM in the phone (or any SIM for the folks that have done GeoHot's unlock!). This means that you can change SIM cards without having to re-activate the phone. Another advantage is that you won't have to install an SSH sever (dropbear), which some folks here are not willing to do. This is the first version of the script, pre-alpha if you wish. I'd appreciate any comments so the script gets really fool proof. I have tested this script with my own phone several times, so It should work fine. If you have any problems, post here. I did it under Windows XP simply because I don't have a MAC. Also, I think MAC people already have pretty nice tools. Anyway, if you wanna replicate this idea your own way, just do a patching activation, then copy deleonju's youtube files to /private/var/root/Library/Lockdown/ inside your phone.

1. extract rar, place files someone you know where to find them
2. connect your iphone to ibrickr
3. go over the the folder ./private/var/root/library/lockdown/
4. once you get there you will see the files by the same name as the ones you extracted. now all you have to do is upload the extracted files from the rar to the iphone and restart(red slider). its working for both edge and wifi on my unlock.

Não sei se voce percebeu, mas eu após rodar o seu programa para desbloquear o youtube tive problemas em trocar o sim card com o telefone ligado. assim: instalei o programa e para verificar qualquer problema coloquei um outro chip para testar. quando ele vai puxar a rede do novo sim a tela do springboard fica inteira preta (apareceu somente a barra de serviço) e só consegui fazer voltar ao normal reiniciando o telefone (desliga e liga). eu queria te perguntar se tem como arrumar isso, ou seja, poder trocar de chip sem ter que reiniciar o iPhone para ele poder funcionar normalmente. aproveito para perguntar se voce sabe de algum programa que fazer o caller id funcionar com o número da operadora na frente.
