OK, your iPhone is production week 1, this year. has probably been OOTB 1.1.3 (lost track a bit about that). At least it came with bootloader 4.6 OOTB. It is on Firmware 1.1.4 with matching firmware, Wi-Fi seems to be ok, no indication of ZiPhone. During unlock the iPhone's bootloader got downgraded.

Same thing here: If it is working ok, I would wait for 2.0 and see. If you cant wait, you can restore to 1.1.4 and use this workshop

to jailbreak, activate and unlock with the option to get back your original bootloader. But as I said, it's just an option.

I jailbroke (but didn't unlock) with ziPhone 2.6b. My iPhone's information is

sn: 84752
wifi: 00:1E:C2
bootloader version: 3.9_M3S2
modem firmware: 04.04.05_G

did you say that 00:1E:C2 would mean no indication of ziPhone? I'm a little confused about this.

What can I do to get this thing back to virgin condition 1.1.4? I'd like to do a legit upgrade to 2.0 and then give it to my girlfriend.

You can consider yourself really lucky, so far no indication of damage by ZiPhone.

Your iPhone is production week 52 last year (digit 4+5 of ser#), wi-fi was not altered (if ZiPhone screwed up it is 00:5a:49:42:52:49) by ZiPhone. Your iPhone has probably been OOTB 1.1.2 (maybe even 1.1.3, I have lost track). Anyway: ZiPhone did downgrade the original bootloader (starting with 1.1.2 around late October production week) iPhones had bootloader 4.6. ZiPhone downgraded that to 3.9 even though you just jailbroke it!!! Right now you are at firmware 1.1.4.

If i were you i would DFU restore to 1.1.4, then use Pwnage to unlock or iLiberty (this tutorial http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=43569 -> for windows; if you are on a Mac, check [EDIT] in this post) Reason to use one of those tutorials is to have BootNeuter (Dev Team) on the iPhone to get back the original Bootloader.
Once that is done the iPhone is unlocked at 1.1.4, you start Bootneuter again, just set 4.6 everything else off, reflash again and do one more restore to 1.1.4 and your are all set.

I have a couple of questions..
I used iLibertyX to unlock, activate, and jailbreak my phone (1.1.4) and checked downgrade to 3.9 FB.
I want to upgrade my phone to 2.0, and to activate it on ATT.. can i DFU restore and then upgrade to 2.0? Do i have to change the bootloader to 4.6?
Will this re-lock it so that I can activate it via iTunes?
There's a lot of good advice in this thread but not the exact answer I've been looking for.. so, thanks for the help!

Yes, restore it to factory settings and then follow any tutorial bout upgrade to 2.0. Good luck

The main thing i was worried about is the bootloader... because I clicked downgrade to 3.9 FB; I don't actually know what bl it had to begin with- or if I need to change that back by upgrading the bl in iLiberty before i restore it.

OK, so I had a go.. I tried DFU restore/upgrade to 2.0, didn't work. THen I tried a DFU restore to 1.1.4, which worked, and I was able to activate the phone thru Att & everything. (did not re - jailbreak, unlock OR activate)..
I'm still a little worried about upgrading to 2.0 (b/c that first restore didn't work, when i tried it with 2.0). I don't know if the restore changed the BL to its original state..
I guess worst case I can always restore back to 1.1.4 again.
Does anyone have experience with a similar scenario?

my wifi is unstable.... any suggestions? already tried iliberty plus wifi fix with no luck

i had a OTB 1.1.2 4.6 BL running on a nextsim card just fine with tmobile. then I decided to use iliberty+ after upgrading to 1.1.4 via itunes. i used the iliberty plus to do a full software unlock (even though i had a nextsim card cause i think the nextsim card doesnt work with 1.1.4? ideally i didnt want to downgrade the BL if i didnt need too but i did) anyhow, i did the software unlcok, and now i dont need the nextsim card anymore. fantastic right! but...

However, my wifi is unstable. Is it a possibility that the wifi instabililty happened because my nextime card was in the iphone during the whole process? could that have messed it up?

anyhow, i used the iliberty wifi fix with no luck.

someitmes my wifi works and at other times it doesnt. i have noticed that the wifi is working but then when i begin to use installer, the wifi stops and the phone automatically looks for the edge network. i have also noticed that installer stops downloads in the middle and this maybe due to unstable wifi or problem with installer on iliberty crack?

i dont know.
