ok im having a few problems here. started out with a 1.1.2 jailbroke phone. upgraded to 1.1.4 and did the ziphone and i had no service. so i did this
restored to 1.1.3 and downgraded the baseband to 04.03.13_G tried to use anysim to unlock, says it completed and my phone is unlocked well my phone still says no service after i have unlocked it. im using a PAYGO sim. so now im at 1.1.3 and no service after. its been unlocked with anysim 1.1.3 iv already tryed to restore to 1.1.4 in DFU and then tried Ziphone with the CMD. thats didnt unlock it. so i restored again to 1.1.4 and tried iplus 1.1 using the cmd method. nada im still getting no service. iv tried just about everything on here. is there a way i can like format my phone to get rid of all these methods iv been trying and just install a freah 1.1.4 so i can try ziphone again? any other suggestions? take the sim out and do it or what? this phone i have im guessing came with 1.1.2 and i had jailbroke it before but not unlocked. at of this moment im at 1.1.3 with the 3.9_M3S2 Jailbroke and "unlocked" I guess. with no service. |

I'm not sure whether they've figured out how to re-upgrade the bootloader from 3.9 to 4.6, but that's probably not your problem. The bootloader (essentially) just instructs the phone on how to install & restore versions of firmware. It doesn't actually affect performance of the phone at all.
I suspect that you might be having issues with how your system firmware is interacting with your modem firmware, as some of the unlocking solutions rely on the use of different modem firmwares. Perhaps you want to get back to 1.1.1 and then also downgrading your modem firmware to the same level. Then I would use the tutorials at hackthatphone.com to work your way up to where you want to go. |

ok little update i downloaded the 1.1.4 orginal firmware file from apple and tryed to do a restore in DFU mode and it would not restore. It gave me a Error 5. then i tryed to do the same with 1.1.3 and it gave me error 1. I think i may have bricked this phone.
