Hi,
You may say this question was already answered, but I've searched it many times, and all I see is posts with qustions but no answers... From 1.1.1 AnySim on, if we want to update an iPhone, all we've got to do is Restore to the new firmware and unlock? No need for things like virginizing? Example; I have an unlocked OTB 1.1.1; if i want to update to 1.1."2/3/4", all I've got to do ir restore to 1.1."2/3/4" and unlock it? Thanks in advance |

hey i dont mean to hijack but im in the same boat with the same question.
If the bootloader is already 3.9 on an unlocked 1.1.1/1.1.2 what do you mean just let ziPhone do it all to go to 1.1.4? With all the threads (read: mass confusion) around hear its hard to understand what to do an what not to do. So in other words: If i have 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 unlocked with Bootloader 3.9 amd want to go to 1.1.4 then I: - Restore on iTunes to 1.1.4 - Then set as "New" iPhone in iTunes - Then open ziPhone 2.5c and hit "do it all" Now when restoring on iTunes to 1.1.4 will that upgrade my BL from 3.9 to 4.6? Then when i hit "do it all" on ziphone 2.5c will it automatically downgrade? None of this makes sense... Whats wrong if it does? Logically, i thought since 4.6 was bigger number than 3.9 that it was released AFTER 3.9, if so why is there so much problem/confusion with features not working (ie locate me) on 4.6? sorry if i "highjacked" your thread but i just want to be clear... ive been reading this forum since about 11am today and its all "just do it all" or "DONT USE ZIPHONE!!!" i've had my iPhone since 1.0.2 had to unlock and revirginize before all the automated scripts were available so im not computer illiterate but there is so much conflicting information on these threads its mind boggling. Anyways if anyone can clarify this it would be greatly appreciated. cheers |
