Warning: Since This solution has been released we have seen an increase of bricked iPhones help request in the forum. This may also result in "greyed wifi" or "greyed Bluetooth", BSD minor major error, corrupted baseband and/or bootloader. Use at your own risk !
[Warning] Use ZiPhone at your own Risk > Big WiFi issue !!! This guide are for every iPhone versions. After finishing this guide you are going to have an iPhone with 100% 1.1.3-fuctionality. PART 1/4 A) PREPARATIONS Download and install the latest version of iTunes (7.6): iTunes 7.6 Win - iTunes 7.6 Mac Remove the PIN-code on your own sim-card using a "traditional" celluar phone. Put your own sim-card in iPhone. Before starting: - use usb-cable directly in iPhone, don't use the iPhone dock (easier using only the cable) - uninstall ALL applications and Sources in Installer.... B) UPDATE / RESTORE iPHONE to the LAST FIRMWARE-VERSION There are two reasons for running through an update/restore in iTunes. First for updating to the lastest baseband (04.03.13_G), secondly because ZiPhone "demands" that iPhone are "paired" with iTunes. (for OTB 1.1.3 the restore is for "pairing" with iTunes, it has already baseband 04.03.13_G) - connect iPhone to the computer w/usb-cable - start iTunes - turn on iPhone, wait until iTunes recognize iPhone - click Check, click OK Now you must choose one of 3 choices in iTunes (it depends in what condition/firmware the iPhone is in right now) a) if button Check for Update is active (ie. not dimmed): - click Check for Update, click OK (if iTunes say that you have the latest version continue nevertheless to the next line) - click Restore, click Check, click Restore, wait.... continue with B2 b) if only button Restore is active (ie. if buttons Update or Check for Update are dimmed): - click Restore, click Check, click Restore and Update, wait.... continue with B2 c) if both buttons Update and Restore are active: - click Update, click Check, wait.... continue with B2 B2 - Finish and quit iTunes After the update/restore is finished (4-5 min.): - wait until iTunes recognize iPhone, ignore error messages regarding non-supported SIM-card - click iPhone's eject-icon in the left panel (in iTunes) - quit iTunes iPhone-display is showing "slide for emergency" over a picture of a usb-kabel --> iTunes-icon - reboot iPhone (hold on/off-button for 5 sec), slide "slide to power off" to the right -
