Hi!
As i understand after some search, the ONLY way to actually know the true BL version is to JAILBREAK a 1.1.2 OTB then running the bbinfo thing? If I do this, and in the event I just find out its BL4.6, will I be able to revirginize it to make it 1.1.2OTB again with no traces of the jailbreak? Leave sarcasm for other threads, please. Thanks! |

Hi,
I understand that to be true also. And yes, virginising your phone will remove all traces of jailbreak, so all good! Hope this helps... C |

if its 1.1.2 OTB then the bootloader is def 4.6, so don't bother checking.

1.1.2 OTB are called so because they CAME with 4.6 - OUT OF THE BOX. The case is Apple released 1.1.1 phones then at some moment they started releasing 1.1.2 with bootloader 4.6 and made all the shops to upgrade their phones to 1.1.2. Since you cannot change BL while upgrading, those were simple 1.1.2, and 4.6 ones were called OTB 1.1.2 to distinguish from them. Capiche?

isnt OTB stands for OUT OF THE BOX? if they upgrade in store and they came with 1.1.2 OTB then there is a very remote chance it has 3.9. i think serial number would be a good way , if its over week 45 forget about 3.9.
rchik: ther are called like that because it came with 1.1.2 when they bought them. theres no way to know if they where updated or factory-builded until you jailbreak, and this is what what Areku is asking about . Capiche? |
