When I run ienew it gets stuck at

"Waiting for Data"

and when I CTRL + C and then run iunew, it gets stuck at

Spamming AT, waiting for a response


Commcenter is unloaded, all permissions are +x.

Tried at least 10 times already.

Also NOR file is correct.

iunew never says "Connect test point" or something like that.

Are you sure, that you uploaded all files correctly?

Otherwise try to do that, it worked for me:

1. Connected the iPhone to my Computer.
2. Used iBrickr to connect to the phone because my iphone had no wifi,downgraded to 1.0.2
3. Created a folder called unlocking in the /usr/ folder
4. Then i uploaded the whole pack, which can be found here: http://lpahome.com/geohot/112otb.rar
5. Then i uploaded the nor File, which can be found here: http://therepository.binarytide.com/nor3.9.rar
6. Took the phone out of the docking and run terminal
7. Type cd /usr/unlocking
8. Coonect testpoints and run iunew

yup. Exactly samething I am doing after granting persmission to all files in the new folder.

ienew says waiting for data
iunew says spamming AT, waiting for response

Doesn't even say connect test point. Anways I tried connecting testpoint before running iunew.

Any other solution at this point?

Yep I got this problem and at the end successfully unlock, I'll try to be the clearest as possible :
- first I ran ienew w/o problem
- after a few unsuccess with iunew and the testpoint I got "Spamming AT, waiting for a response"
- I ran ienew again (that gave me another output than on first time)
- after a another few unsuccess with iunew and the testpoint, I was in your situation ( ienew --> "Waiting for Data", iunew --> Spamming AT, waiting for a response)
- further more after a few go and back from vterm to springboard, pressing vterm icon gave me a black screen (with double click on home button as only solution to go back on contacts and then on springboard)
- I thought my friend's Iphone (aie aie aie) was on the end of its life
- only thing to do reboot
- on reboot (yep it rebooted !) curiously i got a message telling me to bring back the Iphone to Apple for repare and then the springboard
- pressed on vterm ---> ran ok
- iunew --> success with testpoint (I had only success with the testpoint by exposing a point in the trace)

So if you correctly made first stages of the tutorial, maybe you should reboot (probably it's the only solution, even if it's said not to do so)

You have to unload it first, remember that it is casesensitive; Big L in Library, C in CommCenter and so on.

launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
cd /usr/bin/ (or where ever you have put your files)
ienew

connect testpoints

iunew (with delay "sleep 15; iunew")

Follow this guide it has never failed me.

Tried that many times and I verify it by running it again before I run ienew....

but the problem is ienew never finished with the dump and stuff like that...it always says waiting for data

(permissions and files are correct)

Did you ever get "Can't write" from ienew?
When you ran iunew, for how long did you have to hold the test points?
Did you do this from 1.0.2?

For me yes, ienew always gives "can't write"

and iunew always says Spamming AT, waiting for a response

I am trying from 1.0.2 (had tried it on 1.1.1 earlier as well)

=> I have not ICCID, IMEI, NO SOUND,

I have a activated, jailbroken, 1.0.2 phone, Vt100 and file upload available to me.
