whenever you change the sims, baseband does check everything about it for the first time. Some how it thinks it is still locked. I had checked the baseband logs before running the minicom. it uses AT+XSMISTATE=1 to check PN (net work personilization). It returns that it is still network locked.

when you run the AT+CLCK in minicom, baseband does recognize the output. After you run the minicom the respose to AT+XSIMSTATE=1 is different. It gives PN 5,0 ie is it is net work unlocked.

we cant stop basebands initial checking without modifying it.

patched lockdownd doesnt seems to work with this baseband.

for the time being we are left this with this method. since this working I dont think any software unlock is needed as far as of now atleast for people with IPSF unlocked phones.

Please check your self and post your findings. It may not work because your phone should have been unlocked. The response to minicom commnad should give you 0. If it is 0 then it will work

What about edge, using 1.1.1 baseband and 1.1.3 firmware trying to set it up would crash the settings app, with this method using 1.1.3 baseband it works fine here

the OP is providing a solution to run a FULL feature (firmware+baseband) system on the Iphone instead of the stripped down version the previous solution offered. your reason for bashing this is that it will "fuck up our baseband".....so what? he said its for those with 3.9 BL......ppl like me who can tamper with it and can restore back if anything is wrong. another thing is, how many times do i swap sim cards? never. how many times i reboot? mmm okay the last time was about a week or two ago. and as he said he is working on an automated script to do it. why do you have to be negative? if you dont want to use it just shut the fuck up and move along. sheeeeeeeesh

we are on the way to develop a app.

If any one has already developed the script or app, please do contribute to the coomunity
