Hello all experts of Jailbreaking iPhone !

During the process of my h/w unlock method for 1.1.2OTB upto 1.1.3 done, I found out a way to active the phone in 1.1.3 temporary. So we can use and 1.1.3 firmware (1.1.2OTB updated) and unlocked smoothly with all the new features.


We are not good at jailbreaking job, so need your help to find out this is the good bug for us or not !

GeoHot, Mr Sam, Number41, and some others had seen my phone run smoothly in 1.1.3 already.

So pls be serious with this. Do not spam, do not claim anything and do not post nonsense words here.

Can you describe this bug ?

- When does it appear ?
- In which condition ?
- What is the result ?
- Can we reproduce it everytime ?

I'm on 1.1.3JB as well

i think there's a bug too, i upgraded my IPSF iphone (with t-mobile sim), after the update to 1.1.3 was done, it took me straight to the springboard, it didn't ask me to activate, i could move the icons and all...however if i unplugged from the usb cable and reboot the iphone then it locked, and i only could see the emergency screen, i repeted this like 3 times, upgrading from 1.1.2 > 1.1.3 ...from 1.1.1 > 1.1.3 and 1.0.2 > 1.1.3, all 3 times after the update was done it took me to the springboard, i NEVER had ATT sim in the iphone. anyways, of course the iphone is not working, so DO NOT UPDATE!!, i updated because i have this iphone here for fun and testing, so DON'T UPDATE

After an update Itunes doest not send the phone to check the activation.. is a known fact, but once you reset your phone the phone in the booting process checks if the activation has been made, so, in other words.. there is no bug I think..

maybe we should never unplug our iphones from the usb after updating to 1.1.3 and never reboot it either! :p

nah...whenever you updare from a previous version if you DO NOT have ATT it ALWAYS lock the iphone, when i updated from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 it locked, from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 it locked, so there IS something wrong with it not asking for activation after an update.


Just tried again while replyin to this thread, from 1.1.1 to 1.1.3....same thing...took me straight to the springboad...

If that's true, we can run script before the next reboot to jailbreak the phone.

I've found a bug in the video player, it plays a mp4 video but start to lag with the sound, freezes and after ~10s returns to the Springboard.

I can reproduce this bug everytime.

The video has no problem and was encoded by VisualHub.

Xian, you know what I think they altered this update with the capabilities of playing itunes movies, that are downloade thru Itunes store from the computer or directly in the iphone, maybe they left a bugin there..

I can remotely crash the video player.

Just by entering an url (my local web server that host the video) in safari.
