Correct me if i m wrong but i though geohot said that we're waiting for an update so we can hardware unlock the iphone.

If that is the case I doubt a lot of people would want to go through the trouble of opening their phone and flashing the eeprom chip...
And the money you would have to spend to get someone to do this for you (if you dont have the knowledge) would be around the price of a Turbosim.

In that case wouldn't people prefer to have a cut on their simcard(which can be replaced) than opening their iphone(and not be able to replace it)?

Unless I haven't read correctly and we're waiting for the update to do the software unlock.But then again, i m pretty sure someone from apple is reading this forum.So why would apple make an update that can make iphone unlockable again?
