Hi,
I upgraded to 1.1.2 successfully but I started getting the message that I am low on disk space. I moved my Applications folder to /private/var/root/Applications however I only have 39MB of space available. Code:
# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/disk0s1 300M 259M 39M 87% / devfs 18K 18K 0 100% /dev /dev/disk0s2 7.3G 3.8G 3.5G 53% /private/var # |

Aren't you guys confusing the types of memory a little bit?!
![]() Btw: from my past experience, you should STOP installing further apps when the memory (not talking about the flash disk ) drops below 80 MB.I also can't recommend installing Summerboard, it messes up a lot of stuff, I always get problems with dropping carrier/WiFi service, crashes, etc. Since I started NOT to use summerboard anymore, stability has improved substantially, no more problems. Customize works fine now too, it can be recommended again. Be careful with iSwitcher if you're running 1.1.2, some of the packages are messing up things too, sometimes up to a point when a complete recovery is needed. Also be careful with installing apps from sources you don't know. Right now there are a dozend (at least) of sources available with dozends of different applications. I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two to be used as some sort of trojan horse or even as a "timebomb" to brick your iPhone, so make sure you know what you're doing. Installing EVERYTHING definetely isn't a clever thing to do since Apple never designed the iPhone for that many apps to be installed. Install only what you really need, most of the stuff is pretty much useless to many people anyway. |

I totally agree with you! Installing cr*p like customize started my real temptation to upgrade to 1.1.2. This app completely messed up my 1.1.1 iPhone that day.
We had our guide out in the evening on the 13th in Dutch, because of that. It was so beautiful that Tuesday on our Dutch forums, working together on getting 1.1.2 fully hacked with all the bits and pieces the wonderful programmers had given us! It's a shame the English guide took us so long. a bit off topic, but good memories. Fresh...
