I've successfully activated and jailbreaked (or is it jailbroke) an UK phone by downgrading the firmware to 1.1.1 and then following the various procedures as outline on many posts on here. No problems ecountered. Yippee!
Has anyone ever taken the step to upgrade the firmware to 1.1.2 again, while keeping the phone activated and jailbreaked? Couldn't find anything about it in any posts... |

Ok, I need some help, can you help? I have a UK iPhone and am running iTunes 7.5 on OS X Leopard. Now I restore the Firmware to 1.1.1 but I still have the phone on the connect to iTunes screen. How do I get rid of it and move on to activate the phone? Would be cool if you could write a tutorial on how you did this. from step 1. Thanks Dude |

Oh I'm not only patient and happy to wait until an unlock becomes available, but very happy already and in awe how the geniuses managed to get this far in the first place! So here's a big THANK YOU to everybody!
So with my downgraded to 1.1.1 UK phone, it behaves no differently than an activated and jailbroke US phone, with the exception that it can't be unlocked? In other words, the upgrade instructions to 1.1.2 as described in various posts (but in relation to US phones) would be the same for me? |
