Default [1.0.2 OTB] Unlocked, hangs a lot

I bought a 1.0.2 firmware unlocked iPhone through eBay few weeks back. However, after 2-3 days of use, it began to hang every now and then. So, I virginized and updated to 1.1.1. It worked fine for 1 week or so and then I had same problem on it. I had unlocked with AnySim 1.1 .

Whenever it hangs, I have to reboot it with home+wake up key combination. It takes lot of time to start up then. It gets hung on the startup screen. It shows Apple logo on the screen for some time, then it shows apple logo with the loading animation. Sometimes it starts up normal while sometimes it freezes during boot.
Someone please suggest some remedy.

Often after trying to wake up the phone from locked mode, it gets stuck. Basically it hangs every now and then and refuses to start up just as randomly.

EDIT :
Some of the issues related to the problem are.

-> Phone hangs generally while trying to wake phone from locked mode.

-> Often phone refuses to boot with apple logo and loading animation(spinning wheel) only. However phone starts if left switched off for a few hours.

-> Persists even after firmware upgrade and deletion of Springboard files followed by firmware restore to restore with fresh SpringBoard files.

-> Appears mostly after some heavy use.

-> The phone hangs less and is more stable if used without SIM card.

If someone has any idea how to fix this, please tell. Would be really grateful to anybody who can help.

I have posted screenshots of my phone for reference.

EDIT 2:
I think I have found a solution myself.

Few users- jaka57, azzo, strex have reported that till now there phone has not crashed after using this solution.

Solution - Set Auto Brightness off and set auto lock to never and restart, your phone should not freeze anymore.

EDIT 3:
I have something which maybe of some use in detecting what is causing the freeze. I normally use my iPhone with Win Vista. Today, I installed iTunes on XP and connected my iPhone to XP. I got an on screen message from iTunes saying that my iPhone contained some diagnostic information that may help apple in improving its products...blah..blah...

In that there was also a option to view the diagnostic files. I did that and there were a number of .plist and .crash files there. I noticed that it was somewhere in some directory of the iPhone(i dont remember it,sorry). I am attaching an archive containing all the .plist and .crash files.

(Please remove the "-")

Someone please see and interpret what all this means!! It would be really helpful if you can tell what this means!!

This seems to happen to my iPhone in firmware 1.1.1, too. Before it would just hang when apps were open (like customize or apollo), and now it seems to happen even when i am writing a text message or at the "slide to unlock" screen.

The only real solution i see is restoring again, and only installing a few apps that are stable. Too many apps seems to slow down my phone, especially if some have been opened and exited. As for the hanging at the apple logo, I think this is normal. My phone usually takes about almost a minute to boot up.

Actually that logo goes on for maybe 20 minutes or so. Sometimes the phone starts within a minute, sometimes half and hour. It is just random. My phone is originally 1.0.2 which I updated to 1.1.1 in hope of resolving the problem. The problem was there with me in both 1.0.2 and 1.1.1. I am hesitant to restore again because i have lots of contacts and info on it. However, will have to restore if that is the only solution. Lets wait and see if someone really has an alternative solution. Thanks anyways.

My phone does not restart, it just freezes and I have to manually hard reboot it. No, I did not have dim wallpaper on in SMB. Thanks for your suggestion anyways.

I just noticed the same problems with my 1.1.1 phone yesterday, well not a lot as descriced but it happened when I played music and surfing on Safari @ the same time it just really frustrated to the point that I felt like upgrading it to 1.1.1 was a wrong decision ( used to work fine w 1.0.2), so I just left it full charged then turned it off completely for last night, it works fine today after half an hour checking in the morning, but I can't be sure if it's alright now, cuz I don't really spend a lot of time w it so far, but seems like it's in a better condition...
Thats just how I dealt w it, u may wanna try it before going thru some xhausted steps such as restoring, etc? may be it will help? ne way good luck w that man

I have tried that already, the phone works for some time and then again hangs. I have to leave phone switched off for some time and try to start, then it starts. Often it does not start even after leaving it switched off overnight.

I have tried the following things-
->Restoring 1.0.2 - No use, hang problem persists.
->Upgrading to 1.1.1 - All data lost, worked fine for some time, again froze
->Leaving phone off overnight - Works mostly, but iPhone hangs while using.

Thanks helpmee for your suggestion though.
We have to wait for someone who really knows what is the root cause of this freezing problem.

I had a similar problem with what you are demonstrating. After reading the forums, I did two things to alleviate my iPhone from locking up/rebooting randomly:

1. Turn off DIM WALLPAPER
2. Turn off WALLPAPER.

Now everything seems to be much much more stable.

Try that and see if it works for a couple of hours.

Regards,
var
