Hello, im the restoring my iphone with 1.1.1 after virginizing, i do exactly what the guide says but when my itunes finish extracting the restore file, a warning appears "iphone cant be restored, theres not enough memory", i tried twice and the same message appears, im using itunes 7.4, what should i do??

New problem, found how to solve the restore memory issue, i have 1.1.1, followed all the steps to anysim, it appeared as "Unlock Successfull" but its not unlocked, what can i do now?

Pre-Steps - Turn off iPhone, insert AT&T SIM Card and turn on iPhone

11. At the contacts screen again. Press the + icon, then the First, Last buton. Enter Z for the first name and press Save.

12. Press Add New URL button. Enter http://jailbreakme.com then press Save, then press Save again. Press the URL button.

13. You will now head to the jailbreakme.com website. Scroll to the bottom of the page and press the Install AppSnapp button. Safari should crash after a few seconds.

****If it doesn't crash after 1 minute, then press the Home button. Wait until the iPhone becomes responsvie, then go into the keypad again and enter a 0 and Call it, then go back to the contact screen and press Z and press the URL button again.****

14. Once Safari crashes it will send you back to the activate iPhone screen. Wait about 30 seconds and the iPhone should chirp and the animation over the slider will freeze and start again.

15. The iPhone will then ring, so slide the slider to answer. The iPhone will then freeze. Turn the iPhone off and then back on. You will now have access to the SpringBoard.

i'm confused, how do you get to the settings when is not activated yet?

however, it is stuck on resetbaseband.
How long it takes? What can I do if it failed?

Re-read step 7. This is where you create the link to the settings screen. Once you have created the URL link just click on it to go to the settings.

Don't copy and paste the link. Just click on it from inside the Guide. It will open in a new window. You will then need to fix the first part by removing the '-' before the .com

Great guide and thanks! This'll probably break my hesitation to upgrade my unlocked 1.0.2. Quick question though: will this undo the t-mobile $5.99 EDGE proxy hack? If so how to get it back. TIA.

@rjshearman: Thank you so much; this is a great guide! Keeping with the current trend you should probably modify the title to [REALLY SUPER ULTIMATE GUIDE]

A couple suggestions:
- Remind 1.0.2 users they may have to update their iTunes. iTunes 7.3.x wouldn't restore the 1.1.1 image, so I had to update to 7.4.1. (on Windows)
- Along with the youtube fix, also load the sticky Edge fix; also from Installer Unlocking tools. (Keeps Edge APN data on phone reboot)
- Add instructions (or a link to) Ringtones fix:
