What you need
1. A Brand New iPhone 1.1.1 2. A WiFi Connection 3. This guide -In the Activate Iphone Screen Scroll so we can get to the dialer pad -Type: *#307# and press call -You Phone will Ring Answer it (If you dont get the Answer Screen,Delete *#307#, type 0 and press call) -Press hold -Your phone will ring again but this time decline the call This will Send you to the Contacts Screen. -Add a Contact With 2 URLS: 1) prefs://1f 2) http://jailbreakme.com -Tap preffs://1f (this will send u to the settings screen) -Select Your WiFi Connection and leave your phone there for 1 min or 2mins. -Reboot your phone, if u get the Wi-Fi symbol Go to the next Step, if u don't repeat the procedure until you get Wi-Fi -Now do the *#307# to get into the contact Screen Again -Tap your contact, and select the URL2 http://jailbreakme.com -Thats it! Scroll down, and hit "Install AppSnapp". Safari should disappear, and pop you back to the Home screen. Wait patiently for a minute - don't touch anything til it pops you back to the Slide to Unlock screen. -Slide to unlock, and Installer.app will be installed on your iPhone/iPod Touch -Go to Settings, General and Set Auto Lock to Never -once jailbroken and activated. -you can run installer updated it -in Sources tap click edit them add http://i.unlock.no -refresh sources -Install BSD Subsystem -Under Unlocking Tools folder, install YouTube Activation (This is for fix Youtube problem if jailbreakme dont work) -Under Unlocking Tools folder, install AnySIM -Restart Phone, check youtube -Run AnySIM (does not matter wich SIM card in) -Restart iPhone and Uninstall AnySIm Well done in about 10 mins Last edited by hondasr; 11-05-2007 at 08:47 PM. |

what to do if after appsnapps is installed, safari closes, phone rings, answered, restarted, but still not activated?
i tried to install appsnapps again but it just loads a very small picture of a question mark. Last edited by turbo_h4; 11-01-2007 at 12:53 AM. |

I think I did the same thing restart the phone to early. How can I fix this, cause now I cannot install apptap. Is their a way to reset?

HI Hondasr, good guide. Might be worth noting:
At least with my PIN protected Telstra Australia SIM you can not get to Safari using this method, the phone just barks that the SIM is PIN protected. So I had to remove the SIM, remove the PIN on another phone, reinsert and then it worked fine. So worth noting that I believe the whole early Safari access process is impossible with a PIN locked SIM, I didn't see this noted anywhere else but have 1st hand experience. Might be a big problem for someone without a 2nd phone handy =) |

Try Carnaval or touchfree. Or restore to 1.1.1 with iTunes
