Hello,
I verginized and bbupdated (bbupdate -f xxxxxxxxxxx.fls xxxxxxxxxx.eep) an iPhone with 1.1.1 The guide was for 1.0.2 only, but I realized that too late. Then I restored to 1.1.1 and I used independence to activate 1.1.1. Then I installed AnySIM and run it. However the unlock did not work (it says that it has been successfully unlocked but if I insert a SIM it says: "Invalid SIM" and I can't make calls) How can I revirginize a 1.1.1? Thank you very much! Last edited by mcorto; 10-28-2007 at 12:36 PM. |

I bricked one iPhone today by revirginized it in 1.0.2 and then update it in iTunes to 1.1.1. The firmware got corrupted (with no imei, wifi, everything related to the baseband firmware) due to unstable wifi connection. ( I was doing it in terminal through wifi ).
I then use iNdependence 1.2.5 (the latest version) to enter the phone into DFU mode, downgrade the iPhone Software to 1.0.2 using iTunes. And then I reflash the baseband firmware to a clean version of 1.0.2. Refer to this link [remove the dash in between : h t t p : / / c o d e.g o o g l e.c o m/p/iphone-elite/wiki/DowngradingBaseband After successfully downgrade your iPhone software & baseband firmware to those version of iPhone 1.0.2, restart your iPhone and then activate it using iNdependence, remember to do Pre 1.1.1 Upgrade in iNdependence before you proceed to the next step. After activation & pre 1.1.1 upgrade, connect to iTunes and let iTunes update it to 1.1.1. After the update complete, activate & jailbreak it using iNdependence again. Apply anySIM for 1.1.1 and you should go to go Last edited by Alfred; 10-27-2007 at 07:53 PM. |

I did what you said. I downgraded to 1.0.2, runned ieraser, then bbuptader -v (baseband unresponsive to pinging).
Then reflahed the bb: bbupdater -e ICE03.14.08_G.eep -f ICE03.14.08_G.fls ... ProcessDetailUpdated: Sending end-pack. ProcessDetailUpdated: Checksum OK. ProcessDetailUpdated: Verify OK ProcessOutlineUpdated: Process time was 1 min 51 sec. Resetting target... pinging the baseband... issuing +cpwroff... Done It succefully flashed it. bbupdate -v: Resetting target... pinging the baseband... issuing +xgendata... firmware: DEV_ICE_MODEM_03.14.08_G eep version: EEP_VERSION:207 eep revision: EEP_REVISION:7 bootloader: BOOTLOADER_VERSION:3.9_M3S2 It seems ok. Then I did the pre 1.1.1 update in independence. I updated (not restored) in iTunes to 1.1.1. Then I activated it and installed ssh with independence. Copied anySIM. Runned anySIM and it says something like: "succefully unlocked". I then rebooted and I got again the message saying: "Incorrect SIM, ...". It's still not unlocked! Any ideas? Thanks |

I forgot to mention that my IMEI starts with 00 49. Is it a bad sign?
