As several of you may be aware, many unlocked iPhones started suffering from lost reception after a few days/weeks of usage post unlocking.
There was a lot of speculation as well as detailed discussion on the problem on this thread:
http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=9106
However, not much headway was made.
However, two distinct problem categories were identified:
a) People who had a "no service" issue immediately after the unlock - the easier to fix problem, which for most was stemming from a incorrect unlock or the fact that the comm.center service was not enabled. Most people with this issue were able to recover from the problem soon
b) People whose phone worked fine after the unlock for a small period of time, hours, days or a few weeks...and then fell into "no service"
This was the more complex problem for which several Possible causes were identified:
- Hardware problem because of a weak communications board and not an anysim issue
- Possible issue with the anysim 1.0.2 version that caused a hardware breakage
- Bad baseband patch on Anysim 1.0.2
Now that Anysim 1.1 is out, I thought it would be a good idea to collect some data/feedback on how this issue has panned out.
Have people with "no service" problem after Anysim 1.0.2 version been able to fix the issue with the new AnySim?
or are there folks who have run into this issue after a virgin unlocking with Anysim 1.1
Please vote and keep this thread alive..
This issue may even affect your currently "works like a charm" phone in a few days or weeks and you definitely want a solution to be found if that happens unfortunately
