This tutorial worked for me after a few problems like the touchfree and winscp but it works just fine and now i have my 1.1.1 iphone activate and UNLOCKED!!

It seems once you run AnySIM 1.1 is unlocked no matter if you restore (to the same firmware or it might be to the same Modem firmware).
So I wouldn't consider AnySIM to be the cause of the problem with Iasign.

Are the itunes process killed (not running) in Windows?

so i assume no itune is needed for unlocking, but this message means you have to turn off all itunes processes before you use anysim? i thought you dont need itunes

does anyone know what to do when after unlock my phone 1.1.1 with this guide, during the call volume of sound in receiver and also in speaker is very low ?????????????

That is great Jeremy.This should go on the first post vomer because again people won't read it and start asking the same questions.
I have read the last 8 pages and 90% of the questions had already been answered before in this same thread. Some people really want people to work for them instead making an effort that is my whole point. Sorry to repeat it...maybe people would get the message and read the thread from start. I know take some time now...but it is going to take longer when gets to 100 pages and won't be useful.

Q: What do i do with Putty? I've installed it and set the Host name to my iPhones ip and clicked open! Where do i log in?
A: Just type "root" and after some seconds Username: root will appear, press enter, then just type the password and enter again! In my case i took a while until the text appeared after typing it -> patience!

Q: It worked but my iPhone is slow as hell, what the fuck?
A: This means you didn't chmod the files to 0755! Check the guid which files need to be chmodded!

Q: How can i get the AT&T Sim out of the iPhone and put mine in?
A: Take a paperclip and bend it so it can enter the little whole. Then press and the slot should pop out

Nope. I only restored it and started doing the steps for the jailbreak and so on.

i followed your guide here, works great, got my WinSCP to work thanks.
after i connect my iphone using WinSCP i see three folders "Library, Media, and touchFree" i dont see the folder "Media_sym" like in the original guide. please help me. thanks

Blackadder...just a question. Why you ask at every step?Why you ask for every single thing? Just follow the tutorial and most of the things will come to you as you go through it. Also read the thread from the start because ALL of yor questions had been answer.

In this particular case.... "had to do the whole darn thing again" Waht do you think is the "Whole darn thing"?? Start from the beguining ..from a zero state..and that to me is Restore.
What is the problem?Just restore and start again so avoiding any risk. It only takes what 5 minutes more?
