other devices can see me as localhost but they cannot connect to my iphone.

That cuestion about bluetooth doesn't belong with this thread!! You even say you didn't use this guide!!Why on earth are you asking here?
BTW: You are missing the point. Your method leaves you with 1.0.2 firmware not 1.1.1. That is what this guide is about!

thanks for your answer sorry about misplacing my question. i am a newbie here in the forum.

Who are those people? Nobody reported that before here. And please this thread is about unlocking, not about bluetooth...
I couldn't say if my speaker is not loud because I hadn't heard any other iPhones (with the same firmware).
Also there is a setting to limit the volume..so go and check that. Settings->Ipod-> Volume limit

If you had read the whole thread you should know what was my experience.
AnySIm 1.1 gave me the message this phone can't be unlocked every time I tried...
The thing was I had already unlocked it using AnySIM 1.1 with success message but without restoring....then I restored and next time..AnySIm came with the final message: Couldn't be unlocked.
It seems once you run AnySIM 1.1 is unlocked no matter if you restore (to the same firmware or it might be to the same Modem firmware).
So I wouldn't consider AnySIM to be the cause of the problem with Iasign.

Are the itunes process killed (not running) in Windows?

This thread is for unlocking.........so if the unlocking renders the BT as unusable I should not state that in here?.

I was thinking that perhaps someone may help me in finding why after my unlock my BT is not working and the volume is no loud enough.....

FYI the limit volume setting is set to "OFF" that should not be the problem.

If there is any other way to receive help please let me know.

I just visited the touchfree site: http://www.slovix.com/touchfree/
and it is funny that people here has been asking questions that were answered ath the site!!
(I think vomer should link to that in the tutorial).

Also: It says to stop itunes. I know in my computer when closing iTunes sometimes it still keeps running in the background so I have manually to kill the proccess.
There is also a mention about the difference between the Alpha and released version and how to install SSH.

Finally i remember that TouchFreed is not a 1 second proccess.. it looked like it was stuck but i left mine running for maybe 5 or 10 minutes and it worked fine.
So please don't get nervous if the bar doesn't advance for 2 minutes!!

Yes. Create a new thread about speaker not being loud and problems with bluetooth (Title example: Problem with BT after unlocking, anybody?). Or even better, search (YES!There is a Search option) before in the forum.
If nobody (like myself, I tried with my Jabra bluetooth set) is reporting a problem with bluetooth after following this tutorial it is clear enough that this method doesn't mess with bluetooth. This thread is 37 pages long already. If there had been a problem with BT we should know by now.

I am at touchfree, it goes thru step 2, asks me to reboot, I reboot, click on touchfree, then it says I am done? I click exit and my phone is still at the activate screen ( it does not restart as in the touchfree msg). I did this several times, with alpha and the other one, same result. In step two I can see it doing a lot of things (writing, patching flash, writing flash) but does not go beyond that after the first reboot.

I started over several times, everythings works as described here, but touchfree does not finish for whatever reason.

I tried a restore, itunes gave me an error that it cannot restore. I tried to get the phone to the yellow triangle unsuccessfully.

I can still browse online, connect to web sites through the emergency number hack.

I have spent hours searching and I am out of ideas. Any help is greatly appreciated.
